Loading for wheels and exhaust

Post by Joules » Thu Apr 10, 2003 8:14 pm

Any ideas on the average loading for wheels and an exhaust.

Wheels I have been told 48 after renewal and 28 before. This is changing from 17" to 18" both being OEM Audi items.

The exhaust ?? not sure I need to advise??? I mean if you get your replacement from quick fit do you need to advise??

I am not going for a hum dinging BBore. Just straight SS replacement.

for the wheels I would not tell them about them (ahem) as you can always argue the point that they were optional extras if they are oem ones. Exhaust is a probably the bit I would declare as they would see it as performance enhancing.

When I had my MY00 Impreza, I was insured with Elephant, and I upgraded the alloys to 17" gold MY01 style. Elephant charged me £150
Needless to say, I'm no longer with Elephant. Changed to Liverpool Victoria who get a lot of recommendations over on Scoobynet.
cheers,

Thanks, guys...

What about a std non audi exhaust fitted by kwik fit, according to the fine print this would need to be declared?? ??

Could you not just declare than a non audi exhaust had been fitted which is not performance enhancing??

Just tried Liverpool £50 more and they would not insure my wife because she is under 30!!

Looks like I will stay with BELL current premium now 653
