Paintwork on an RS6

I have just given the go ahead to a quote from an Audi dealer to sort some bits out on the RS6. I needed front and rear bumpers and a bit on the rear arch sorting out due lacquer failure or rather gravel rash!!!B*gger I hate laquer Anyway car has gone in and been assessed and a few other bits and bobs have been found so she is now being fully sorted including alloys as it seemed the best and cheapest option to keep the paintwork in pristine condition as well as keeping my audi bodywork guarantee
Car before she went in!
All the next piccies I post will be from the dealer that is doing the work on the car and I thank them for pandering to the nagging demands of a panda ...........2 weeks is way too long to be stuck with the pimpmobile!

Are you going to have the bumpers, wings and bonnet covered in clear film to protect them after the paint job Amanda?

I am looking into this as I really would like the audi oem option but that's not possible as I don't think that's available also I am reluctant to put anything on new paint/ lacquer as it needs to cure

Wait for it to cure then. The paint
Shop should be able to tell you how long before it can be done.

Off the top of my head it is Xylene or a mix that is traditionally associated with the "Pear Drops" smell unless I am losing my marbles.

I had the front end of my b7 done in the summer I wished that I had got some film put on after, as the paint is def softer, do it or it will chip up again in no time

Take that stupid GB thing off, ffs. That was only meant to be for the ring trip. It looks horrendous, you've been driving around with that on your car?
