Interesting RS6 with interesting history...

Post by batty » Thu Oct 25, 2012 7:22 am

Well, I sold my plus 18 months ago, and I can't help myself from looking at a potential '6 purchase.

I remember this one being the source of previous discussion - wasn't it the pride and joy of a self-confessing Mi6 agent ??

http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/clas ... ain/855482

it looks fully sorted now - gearbox sorted, new discs and pads, and mint condition. I saw it in the flesh around 3.1/2 years ago, here in sunny Lincoln, and I must say although the interior looks a bit OTT on photo's, it works in real life.

anyone been to see it ?

I wouldn't get in that POS if you paid me, sorry. Nice torque figures for that remap, not. Nice painting of the OE 8 pot calipers and Sticker slapping, not. Nice interior, not. Yes it has been on here before.

Yup, POS indeed. Ask him what the uprated box is, so we can all have a good laugh. Took 'em 3 years to get round to changing the box then?

Notice how that right rear exhaust bank isn't misaligned and melting the bodywork at all. Always a telltale sign of a meticulous owner right there.

I was about to mention that. And the inlet funnel that is damaged. And the rear bumper that appears to be a different colour.

Nick Johnson's cars are always overpriced. I don't know of anyone that's bought from him to see if they're worth the extra.

Phil, it is the "+" price bloating factor at work. As much as I feel for the guy, that was actually on here asking about the car price recently and it is a very nice looking one, I simply disagree with the huge price bump for what really isn't a lot more IMO.
