I've got another one, can hear a hissing noise from somewhere. I've had a look and it isn't the intercooler pipes. I'm too busy to get to MRC so it is going to my Audi dealer who are around the corner from work, worth a try I suppose... :drink:

Will be interesting to see what methods they find for bending you over while simultaneously failing to diagnose the problem.

Nah, was too busy to get to Audi, tried to book in with MRC but they're closed this weekend. Will have to sort something out for next week.

did you get any eml on when you had this issue? I have a similar problem i think. hissing sound under load, feels like the turbos are not giving full boost.

Check all your boost pipework. The little rubber hoses in your engine bay and the intercooler pipes.
The boost pipes were superseded by Audi years ago, might be worth checking if you have the new type.

Thanks for the heads up, lower drivers side intercooler hose had come loose a small amount, and has been tightened up. Now back to full performance

The lower intercooler hoses are the most common thing. A little oil builds up in the "sump" of the intercooler over time which lubes the hose to pop off if it is even slightly loose.

THIS. Really common, has probably happened to all of us near enough, me included. Either that or you have impressively blown a gopping great hole in one of the already swiss-cheese like OE intercoolers ;). They will fail too btw. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but they will and JB Weld is for pikeys imo :biggrin3:.

/Edit, must learn to read, glad to hear you sorted it, but OE intercoolers are still sh!te.
