That is where WD wanted me to take my car, but I refused. Told them I would only let an RS specialist near the car. I wouldn't let them near my car. They may be gearbox specialists but Grizz seems to pulling an engine and box out of these cars every week. He knows how to do it right. Stick to your rights as I couldn't find anywhere in their small print that gives them the right to dictate who works on your car

They fixed the box in mine nearly two years ago & it was still fine when I sold it in November. I'd happily let them do it if I were you

Fixed mine in early 2009. Although I would have preferred a new Audi box at the time, Warranty Direct were playing hardball and this is what I got.
I'm paranoid about it normally, but having had Unit20 do a gearbox oil service last week I've got to say it now feels so much more positive. So overall the A1 lot seem to get some things correct.

Took my 3 series in to A1 recently for box and diff fluid changes as I live in the same town of Biggleswade.
Was good to hear the mechanics own opinion of what he observed and they did a great job of it for a good price.
Spoke to a couple of customers while there waiting and they all seemed satisfied.
Lot of new cars in the compound with gearbox issues that warranty companies had sent there.
My own experience and opinion is that they are a good company to deal with and I'd definately recommend them to anyone.
Just a note regarding gearboxes in general, specifically DSG's - services generally focus on engine and brakes, very little on drive train so its worth having DT fluids changed as a seperate service with a specialist such as these guys. A 2k gearbox (on the cheap) is a lot compared to a weekends beer money having a box fluid change so be sure to do it.

No link at all to them. Oddly enough I was looking for a used Audi in my area when this came up and felt compelled to comment as my experience with them was positive.

Not me, I think PhilT will have to take another bow.
