About 4 weeks ago, I exchanged my wheels in West Ealing, London. I know you want someone local understandably, but if you can be bothered to drive to London, you can hang around for an hour while they swap your tyres onto the refurbed wheels. They are properly powder coated etc, and cost £300 for the set. They should by now have received my old ones back (19"), so hopefully in stock. The outfit is part of Grays Tyres, but as they only recently started up as a separate entity, they are not yet VAT registered so it's £300 total. If you're interested, call Andy on 07731 968575.

The Wheel Specialist is a franchise.

The Glasgow one is great. If the one near you is as good then you'll have no issues.

Yes I have personally been to and used the wheel specialist in Fareham, and I can very recommend their attention to detail! Parents live down there, dad wrecked front left on Sportback avoiding an oncoming bus that was going around a parked car, was kerbed half way around rim! Looked better than new afterwards, lacquered and glass smooth on the inside unlike the factory originals. Sept last year when I poped down for the Goodwood Revival he got the remaining three done plus I had five winter wheels refurbed. We negotiated a small repeat business discount having eight done together - effectively helped pay for my fifth winter wheel to be done. Centre caps match perfectly too.

I know people want to know how good they look straight after the refurb but it's really how long they stay looking good that counts. Some refurbs will start to flake or change colour in a couple of months.
You could always try looking on detailing world as people will post up their wheels and thoughts months after.
I'm looking to getting mine re done soon as i curbed one of mine and the tyre fitters did a great job of fu**ing them up. I had mine powder coated last time and think it was probably a bad move as it's harder to sort out so i'm told.
Good luck with the search anyway

Mine are powder coated the titan colour(havent got the foggiest what the code is) by fontain. They did all the work, code searching etc, so am considering returning to them or audi, last thing i want is one wheel looking a different shade to the others. If anyone knows what the titan wheel colour code is, i might ask wheel specialist, the advantage of audi is a courtesy car as wheel specialist say(on their website) if its over 18in youre looking at 48hrs minimum, cant be audi-less for that long (I could drive the mini but cant be arsed) :kissmyrings:

Edit: Is this the titan code: 4B3 601 025 Q 8AU

8AU is the paint code.

What makes the plus wheels special though is the satin lacquer that's used. You won't get with power coating, although the power coat is kinda satin anyway.

In the sun, the titan wheels sparkle, they are gorgeous(if you can use that word to describe an alloy wheel). They are most definitely powder coated as I asked for that and they confirmed they were.
