Licks finger and puts it up in the air *sounds about right*
Call Grizz - Unit 20 or MRC.

Thank you for info, figuring out best way to get it trailered to Cheshire if possible from Tyne and wear as my recovery only allow for 10miles to garage

Mine has gone as well...I'm in Baku at the moment...so will be a couple of weeks before I get this done at the Volks Center in Aberdeen...was thinking around £450 for removal and relacement with a recon unit...will let you know how it pans out

Audi have quoted 320 for the alternator and then could get some discount from them with the premier plus 6 card

Grizz has a flat bed to transport aswell, i think anyway. It would be better to let him have a look over the motor than a dealer in my opinion

I am sitting here with my fingers in my ears going LALALA. I think that the previous owner may have had it replaced (need to check the paperwork again) but I really am not 100% about how good a job was done on the cambelt replacement as I am sure they skipped over certain things like rollers etc.
