Hi All,

Prompted by Steve's thread, I thought I'd say hi. I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now since I bought my C5 RS6 in October. There's a wealth of information here which has been very useful.

So far my RS6 ownership experience has been very positive. They really are incredible cars. I bought mine on a whim after driving my business partner's Mugello Blue Avant and being amazed at how quickly an estate car (complete with dog guard) could go from 60 to 120. I just had to have one of my own. So here she is:



It really is the perfect all round car aside from the fuel economy and *cough* reliability issues. Luckily I've got a nice, boring, A6 2.0 TDI (C6) to deal with that.

Currently she's with the good folks at MRC getting the full treatment. Various remedial bits, Bilstein PSS9s to replace the DRC which is leaking, intercooler refurb, Milltek non-res and remap. Wow I sound like an RS veteran already . They've had it nearly a week and I'm starting to get serious withdrawal symptoms.

Hopefully I'll be posting a lot here and not just with tales of woe!

Don't believe ANYONE who says they've bought a rwd alternative and it's better. They're in denial.

Once you go quattro you will not want to go back (for a car of this size).

So what's your next jobs / mods / repairs or is she all perfected right now?

Quattro is great. One of the most remarkable things about the RS in my opinion is the way it delivers the performance so effortlessly. Pause at the lights, knock it into 1st/S, plant your foot and let the car do all the work.

I'm going to see what it's like when MRC give it back before even thinking about further mods.
