Hi

Anyone done them, does it have them, any experince.

Suspect mine are leaking, as small puff, more from the OS on start up, after standing overnight or for a few hours.

Can you do them in situ (CVH Style that woud be some achivement lol) or heads off and hours of pain ?

Wonder what the Audi time is for them?

open to suggestions :-)

You're supposed to have to take the engine out to do the cam cover gaskets so i suspect you would have to take it out for stem seals. The cam covers can be done without removing engine but if they are tight god knows how you would get the valve gear off.

Are you sure it's the valve stem seals? Mine will give an occasional puff of black / gray smoke on start up but I'm sure it's from rich cold start mixture, not oil.

Hi

Check this out http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/20472 ... highlight= I had white smoke intermittently. Might be what you're getting?!..
