Radio noise

Post by paul14 » Tue Jun 28, 2011 1:35 pm

My medium wave signal on the RS6 seems very poor compared to the S4 with constant background noise/buzzing...
Required for 5 live that I think is not on fm.
Do I have a fault or do I need an upgrade??
Any comments appreciated.

Could be a fault with the diversity system. The radio and TV reception on the RS6 is a bit hit and miss :(

Have a simailar fault on my RNS-E, though on FM. The signal will just seem to lose lock.

I'm gonna be getting Craigyb to upgrade all my innards to the new TT digital jobbie to kill 3 birds with one stone hopefully - fix the fault, give me digital TV and give me DAB radio all in one fell swoop. Maybe worth a pm to craigyb for a quote either to fix the fault or do the digital upgrade.

What I do occasionally is to stream radio to my iPhone which is then hooked up to the RNS-D. It works very well as long as you stay within 3G coverage.
