Darn it...

Post by Fatneck73 » Sat May 28, 2011 6:35 pm

Took my RS6 to MRC today to run it up on the rolling road and see what it's putting out but didn't quite get that far. I got to MRC ok but prior to putting the car on the road, they done a 'health check' first which unfortunately threw up one or two issues! The key ones apparently are a faulty Torque Converter and issues with my Intercoolers!!!

Firstly, I've gotta say that it was great to meet the MRC team. Very professional and felt very comfortable that I was in good hands. I'll be using them in the future asap...even if they are 3 hours from home.

And secondly, I brought the car from a very reputable dealer who I and many friends have brought from in the past, so at the moment, I'm confident it'll all be honoured by the dealer and warranty. The service I've had from the dealer to-date, has been second to none...no pushback, no delays, any issues - he gets it sorted without any fuss (well, the courtesy cars aint great but hey, they get me home and back again which is good enuf for me).

And then...when it's all sorted...back to MRC and hopefully, I'll have a cracking car. Fingers crossed.

Can't help feeling a little disappointed at the moment though...I was hoping to come back with a beaming smile across my face, having got a thumbs-up from MRC that my car was a gooden and putting out a zillion bhp LOL.

PS...my DRC is working well, amazingly compared to some of the horror stories I've read about. I can only presume it's been replaced at some point bearing in mind the cars done 80k and is on an 03 plate...but either way, atleast it's not something I need to worry about at the mo. There is one small 'sweat' on a rear shock but nothing too much apparently.

You could be looking at 3-4k to sort out those problems, it certainly will be a good test on your opinion of the Dealer, unless he's got an under written warranty i doubt he'll pay for the repairs out of his own pocket.
Good luck getting it sorted
