HPI check it, then verify the mileage using the MOT database online (hpi not 100% on mileage) it's got a non standard exhaust but doesn't look like a Milltek and i'm not liking the wheels

Looks like MTM exhaust...

Wheels are BBS CH...

poor quality photos.

The actual owner of a 32000 miles avant would be pretty to proud to list those extras in the ad and take decent photos I'm sure!

it's got the natural leather option - that's nice.

it might be a real cracker at around 5k below book....is that about the cost of a new gearbox ??

def worth checking out though...

Looks good, worth checking out

1 - http://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/internet/j ... equest.jsp

2. Check Gearbox

3. DRC

4. Proper HPI check

This simply cannot be correct. Far too good to be true. 32000 miles must be one of the lowest in the country. If it's MTM exhaust thats money. The BBS wheels are not cheap. Its either: Stolen/recovered. Crashed/repaired (badly), needs new turbos or gearbox or both. DRC being shot would not reduce the price to £11,000.

Someone wants a very quick sale (and there is usually a reason for that). Thats so far below book that EVEN Bookfather would say it's underpriced!!!

What he said.
I personally thought it's a scam advert by somebody who simply took photos of it on the way walking past...
There are some of these on Autotrader usually with the script that the car is abroad but if you send the funds you can collect it from the ferry at Dover...
Admittedly these usually only have an e-mail address for contact...

Has anyone tried speaking to the vendor for more info?

Looks clean photo's, but look at the engine photo and the sheer volume of dust... could indicate bodywork having been done. No harm in going to have a good look.

Oh, and beware listing autotrader ads directly as they have post-codes in.

well, i went to see it. as far as i could tell, the suspension, gearbox and engine (apart from one thing which i'll get to) are perfect. the body though is another story all together!

rear bumper is cracked and rippled from a knock
none of the doors line up properly
the bonnet isnt straight
front near side wing is a pattent part and ill fitting
lots of little dings and scratches ALL over
off side intercooler grill missing
wheels curbed to buggery
off side tail pipe bent
one roof rail has evidence of parcel tape having been on it and never taken off properly leaving brown glue
spray job on rear near side wing and arch sprayed to masking tape and left as a ridge
control knob missing from centre consol
aliminium dash pannels dented
bird crap acid etched paintwork all over.
chrome headlight trim hanging off
front centre grill hanging out

I know there is evidence of a big crash and bad rebuild but i dont think there was, it's just been very badly cared for.

the only bad mechanical fault i could find however was that the metal intake tubes are dented both sides where they enter the rubber tubing leaving it free to suck or blow air where it should not.

oh yes and the brakes are shot. very badly warped with juddering when slowing down.

It's such a shame that a 6 with such low miles should have not been cared for.

if someone wants an RS6 to run into the ground then this is the one.

Makes me sad. Thanks for giving us your findings though. Is it HPI clear do you know?

Incidentally the intake tubes are plastic. It's common to see them deformed because impatient mechanics deform them to get them in the hoses.

Very Sad indeed! The owner said he has an HPI check sheet for it but after seeing the car in the flesh and deciding not to go near it i didnt bother doing my own.

I did think it must have been mechanics that had damaged the intakes as it's a strange place to get damaged in any other way.
