Urgent help plese - RS6 wheel reqd

Post by rutland-boy » Tue May 10, 2011 10:18 pm

Had a bit of nightmare today.

Driving this morning to work in Telford - pick up a 4 inch bolt in the tyre   (ill upload a picture later when I get a chance.

No problem you would think, get a tyre fit it move on.

No such luck..... the bolt has damaged the wheel to such an extent that its not repairable (not that I would anyway) and so I have had to have
the car recovered to my home via AA (great service).

This however gives me a real problem, no wheel (although I do have a tyre) as the guys I went to sold me a tyre and then refused to fit it (for the
correct reasons I may add)

so - anyone have a 'standard' RS6 wheel (with or without tyre) 19" rim size to fit a 2003 RS6 ????

Would love an original (£780 from audi ive checked :audibash: ) but would consider a good repro if you have a spare.

I would be really grateful :biggrin3:

MAny apologies if this is the wrong forum, please feel free admin to move as nedeed.

Here's hoping.

Thanks.

Have sent a PM to him , looks like its for an RS6 plus - although I wouldn't be fussy (!!!) - although i have no way of collecting it even if it is still available !!! so would have to try and get it picked up via courier or something.

Here's hoping but in the meantime has anyone else have anything to offer ?

Soz, I nabbed it earlier on for my plus!

I got 'nobbled' a while back with the Vred 275s and was left stranded. The white 'goo' was useless. Never again!

Oh dear… tone officially (and irreversibly) lowered!

Glad to have been able to help out, Chris (with the wheel!) – hope you’re back on the road again now. :thumb:

ooo er, perhaps should have read and thought about the post - before posting !!!!

But short answer - yep back on the road :beerchug: thanks for your help / trouble over the last few days much appreciated.

Even better, took her to get MOT'd after fitting the tyre and she passed, no advisories just straight through and got some very nice comments from the tester, must take her back there next time....

So a great result :biggrin3:

Anyone identify this sort of bolt ? its interesting as it has a taper on the first part of the bolt.

Anyway back on the road, thanks to the forum and TechNick :beerchug:
