Flexible Brake Lines

Guys,
Got mine (RS6 - 2003, 88K miles) checked over at Audi recently (last week),
and as usual (!) a fairly long string of things that will need attention/ urgent attention etc. - however one really will need attention (other I already knew about such as pads worn to 70% - does this really warrant urgent attention ?) I think I have at least another 1500 miles in them yet (and yes grizz I drive like a woman....)
Anyway the one I worry about is OSR flexible brake hose worn - the also warranted and urgent replacement, and I probably agree.
Having had the wheel off, actually its not bad at all (slight scuff on the hose between fixed line and caliper), however got me thinking - what about a braded hose ?
Anyone have any reccomnedations ? - is this an easy fit (assuming of course here, draining brake fluid, disposing correctly, then bleading brakes - or is there an easier way somehow without bleading brakes ? - also whouldnt change just one, so would probably do all four)
Anyone done this? is it within reasonable DIY range (i'm happy to do and have done, brake pads / discs RS6 ) - advice - opinions (as always) very weclome.
BTW the quote from Audi was - £196.22 (40.02 for hose, 123.50 labour, plus VAT) - seem ok but sort of hoping I could do all four for that price !
Thanks
