Plus Valuation Please

Post by RocketShip6 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 11:12 pm

Sold my 6 last week to a friend, missing it already! was going to have a break for a while from 6's and enjoy the summer on my motorcycle as I only do about 3000 miles in a car. was going to get a banger for the few miles I do in a car.
I have been offered a Plus this week by a business friend and want to get a feel for the right price for it, advice required please. If it's the right price i may go for it as i always fancied a plus, although less speck than my old 6 with it's mods.
It's not quite the speck I would like but i can add the rest. Would have to replace DRC will Billies and Cat back Millie for starters.
04 plate, half leather, sunroof(not Solar), all other usual Plus speck, cam belt, brakes and tyres all round 5000miles ago, paint and wheels mint, 120000miles on the clock, 2 owners and full history.
What say you guys? Cheers

He's no longer an RS6 owner, so he's quite happy to contribute to the devaluation of ours now :assflash: :beerchug:
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

He's looking for £15,500.
Theres no such Plus out there for £10,000 or am I missing something?
If anyone has a Plus or two for £10,000 I'll have them both, drive one and keep the other for when the other one is being repaired!

You say you sold your 6 last week to a friend, how much did you get for that? Surely you could work out a price for the plus using the price you sold the 6 for?
I.e - your 6 say was, 04 plate 120k and mods. Sold by you for £10k?
Plus 04 plate 120k no mods. £ 12-13k

See where i'm coming from
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

£15,500 is too much

tell him to stick it on pistonheads and see how he gets on

then a month later tell him the £14k you offered him a month ago is now £13,500

My 6 was a Audi headquarters car with every extra on it - blinds, electric steering collumn, solar sun roof, factory privicy glass (including front windows), alloy inserts etc etc. Avus silver with 79k miles(Gear box service and cam belt done at 70K). Mods included - cat back miltek, H&R, AMD remap including forged diverters, Kenwood - touchscreen, bluetooth, SDcard etc.
Got the money for another one, just want to pay the right price if I do go for another, most likelly going to be a Plus I think. Thought about waiting for a spirit blue Plus as these are pretty rare, like to be a bit different but of course would consider all others and the 120k Plus showed itself, so you gotta have a look, havent you?
Funny feeling selling my 6.....regret and relieve...those who have sold will no what I mean, I think?
I don't think anything can replace a 6 for the money.....so I'm in the market for another!!!!
