Inevitable

Have the Bilstiens ordered the DRC has had its day....latterly the whole car was bouncing at the slightest bump, similar to an old Volvo my dad had in the mid 70’s!!
I’ve read Shoppinit’s write up on the swap, looks fairly straight forward. Is there anything else apart from the Top mounts you guys would advise changing? I got a good deal, I think, from DSWagen discs all round for £1000 ,so they will be fitted at the same time...............expensive week!!

Do the upper control arms, while you're at it. They are cheap and prone to wear. Plus any other bushes that look like they could use renewing.

It would be interesting to make a list of suspension service items with part numbers.

Let us know what you think of the PSS. I've heard good things about them.

The PSS aren't adjustable for damping. THey are adjustable only for height. I also believe that it is possible to set the height of the car higher than with the PSS9.

That and the price :)

Bilsteins fitted and car lowered........what a difference...PSS set up is not too harsh and the car is a whole lot more planted...would recommend them as a great replacement and at £844 didn't break the bank.
One thing I have noticed is I'm getting a bit of vibration thru the brake pedal when sitting in traffic....goes if you put the car in to neutral....may have always been there and just din't notice on the DRC....anyone got any ideas?
I'm just hoping it's not as The Dead Kennedys sang in "Trust your Mechanic"......One things fixed...another falls apart!!

I had this when I put the PSS9 on. It went away when I raised the car from face plant slammed to granddaddy standard height.

She is slammed to the limit.......so yes this is probably the solution....pity....she's getting raised...but not to granddaddy standard...hopfully can find some happy medium.
On the ride I'd say it's on a par with one of my mates Z4's....certainly not crashy but when you hit a pot-hole you know all about it.

Hi Phil
I had the garage change out anything that looked worn, did the top mounts and the control arms as well.
As per previous I think I may have slammed her to far

I will try raising slightly, the PSS is height adjustable.......having said that I may just trade the slight vibration for the look :D

I think you need to raise the fronts a little at least. The front looks lower than the back. This is how mine looked when it was giving me the vibrations:
