Considering selling low mileage RS6 (13,000 miles)

I am possibly considering selling my RS6 and getting something different for my 50th this year, albeit it might not be for a couple of months and I will probably regret it as they are great cars.

I am therefore "just testing the water" at this stage and am wondering a) what it's worth and b) what interest there might be, possibly some I hope as I doubt anyone will find a lower mileage one and it is in excellent condition.

This car was originally bought new by a mature gentleman/company director as a second car and was kept garaged and used infrequently and between 2003 and 2008 only covered 3,300 miles (yes that's an average of 660 miles a year !). I am also a mature company director, have owned it just over two years, it is also not my everyday car and the car has just covered 13,000 miles in total (so I have increased the average mileage to 1,850 miles a year !) with c6,000 miles being on three trips to the Alps and the South of France.

The car has been 100% reliable other than having the DRC replaced with the new Audi variant under their goodwill programme and has been perfect since and is still under Audi warranty (plus Audi dealer warranty).

Details as follows:

2003 Avus Silver Audi RS6 Avant

Full Audi Service History

Audi dealer warranty until December 2011 and extendable for 1, 2 or 3 years - no limit on the warranty other than to the value of the car

Mileage 13,334

Options over standard: Electric slide & tilt Solar powered sun roof, Rear window blind, Electric folding door mirrors, Load safety net and Drilled RS6+ front discs

Modifications: None other than a Miltek non resonated cat back exhaust (this can be changed for the OEM exhaust if preferred which I kept as it had done virtually no mileage)

2008 (Dec) service included gearbox, cambelt, water pump, etc despite mileage only being 3,338 miles at that time. 2010 (Dec) service included new front tyres, front discs and pads fitted. Cambelt not due for replacement until December 2012 (4 years) - certainly won't be on mileage !

Excellent condition inside & out

The likelihood of finding another like this I would imagine will be very difficult if not impossible and any feedback would be appreciated

Regards

Stuart

its got to be worth a pretty penny if you can find the right buyer..

20-25k you have had it a long time now, you might be worth holding onto it if you can

depending on how much you want for it, might be worth contacting a few specialist traders, as they will like a ultra low mileage example and will put it up for a fortune ....

Low mile cars seem fine but I bought a one owner 964 turbo, 11 yrs old with 17k miles from new, clutch had to be replaced where it had stuck over lack of use and the wheel bearings were shot, plus a few other lack of use bits.....No clutch worries with the 6....If you had posted a month ago I would have bought it ...
What did it cost in 2008 with 3k miles

By the way Im an immature company director.....having an extended mid life chrisis

It went for £18500, my friend works there, didn't have a very good spec though.

Just as a guide, I paid £25k privately for a 1 owner, daytona grey RS6 Plus last July with 16k miles on in mint condition.

I would suggest you car would be worth 20-22k.

Hope that helps,

Mart.
