What is the highest mileage RS so far. Mine is 2003 reg and has done just over 122000 miles. I got it in 2004 at 15000 miles

There was one a while back that had well over 200 000. I can't find that thread now though.

Only 2k? I do that just going to the petrol station and back!
I think these engine are very good at resisting the miles. It's pretty rare that we hear about an engine problem due to wear.
I like this about the RS6, but I think it also says a lot about how they are looked after.

Pretty amazing really that we're now pointing out the things that
don't usually break on these cars

Perhaps the high milers could let us know if any untoward problems or expensive repairs have occurred so that we could be prepared. Cheers

I bought mine at 87K , 2 1/2 years ago.
Now over 130k and as long as serviced and cam belts are done (by Grizz) I have seen no long term wear problems.
Ive driven several road trips to Europe which you can see in my posts. Here seen racing the Orient Express to Venice. Also driven all over rest of UK on business where we use the RS6 to promote TrackaPhone and the fact we locate cars for personal owners to monitor.
I always let the car warm up for 5 or 10 minutes on cold start before applying any revs above 3000.
And let it cool down for similar times from any spirited driving.
Whats the point of keeping a car like this parked up?

Absolutely. Why have a car like this and not drive it daily.

The start of the fun factor is getting in and starting it up before even driving off

Proper regular servicing has kept mine in tip top condition. It does have a very high Grin Factor
