gt haus make some of the finest exhausts in the world but they are a little on the pricey side.. im sure they used todo one for the rs6 but i cant find it now :-(

they also do one with a solenoid baffle so you can switch from non silencer to silencer on your remote controls

Are you sure? There's zero bass! To me that sounds like a Saxo with a ricer can out the back. I'll give it another go in headphones but M5 OEM sounds 100% better.

Nup, same vid. For me it's far too raspy and it would drive me insane. The sound doesn't really fit with the car either, it would suit the <beep> out of a 'rarri though...

Sounds terrible, especially from inside the car.

Can't quite tell whether I love it or hate it.....I suspect it sound somewhat better in the flesh but there still might be an element of marmite about it.....

You couldn't own it, the feckin' thing would have your blood pressure through the roof. It is a manic noise but it jars against the super saloon ethos. I wouldn't say no to a ride in one though. IMO that high-strung sound is more suited to the track, deep rumbling bass on the street for me thanks.

Exactly - sounds like my ex's <beep> too.

Is it just the camera or is the car accelerating incredibly slowly for all that noise when joining carriageways..?

Hi guys, sorry i hadnt seen this earlier.

Im more than happy with the standard exhaust to be honest, its very Ferrari-esque at high revs and is very quiet at low revs. Being an estate too i dont wnat anything too loud. I was at a PH meet yesterday and a mate came along with his M5 saloon that has a full supersprint system that cost him big bucks. In my opinion it was too loud and didnt suit the car, but thats his choice. There's a video on here that shows the standard sound perfectly. In my opinion its better than the V8TT of the C5. But only just!!

The video is good from 2m.30s, but the sound of the exhaust is best from 3m.15s
Enjoy!

This is me racing a Viper RT-10 after the meet yesterday. The //M won!!
