Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
honestly haven't read the feedback here, on tyrereviews.co.uk they have a good grade, but what really made me buy it was the offer i got on them, 600 quid for all 4 which is a good price around here. Too late now but i kind of regret buying it due to the rubbing issues i have now, as i said, they seem to be bulkier on the rim protection area than the PS3 i had or Contis, which is why i think they rub at full lock...road noise wise they're quiet, as for grip i haven't really had the chance to test it, but steering feeling is good, i like that.
i bought the P-Zero, simple one, not Rosso or whatever else they have. My buddy has the Rosso and within 1 year and few thousand miles he has already changed 2 of them as the outer side wall cracked, of course the tire Shop wouldn't replace it under warranty, so i didn't want the Rosso, but it looks like i didn't much of a deal anyway.
oooh, forgot to mention, the car has always been on 255/35/19 but never had any issues with the knob until these P-Zero set was put on, so definitely there is something wrong with the Pirellis...

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
I thought that tyres marked with A0 or R01 had been tested and approved by Audi, i have pirelli fitted and they are marked A0, i have no issues with them
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
A0 is Merc fitment, IIRC.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
A0 and R01 is Audi

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Im on 245/30x20 Michelin pilot supersports and unsurprisingly they clear the struts. I had eagle asys on the mtm's with 275/30x19s before so I think the knob may already have been knobbled
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Interesting thread about the knob which attacks the tyres.. I'm running Mic ps2 n/s front has chunks taken out ok the inside, it appears that the knobbly bit is at fault, I've grinded it down down some more to see if that helps.. Just wondering if there's any new info on why it happens & if there's been a permanent fix
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Grinding down el knobbo is pretty permanent, isn't it!?
10mm spacers on each corner would probably help some more, and enhance the aesthetics at the same time.

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
grinding it off is the permanent fix, otherwise won't fix by itself or if you rub a considerable sets of tires against it that might also be a solution on a long term

Virdee's your man. Personally, H&R only for spacers.
