Similar listed price to my 255/35/20's about 18 months ago (when they first became available).
I actually placed 2 separate orders of 2 and the price reduced in the day between!

Though I bought from Oponeo and being a regular customer had accumulated a significant loyalty discount so paid a fait bit less overall.

My only criticism of the PS4S is that they have ruined my rear action fun on the M3.

Very impressive. Even in the wet. They are way better than the PSS they replaced, especially in those conditions.

That was always the downfall of the Mitches compared to the Goodyear's. They sound like very impressive tyres.

I've now got the PS4S fitted and like them a lot. The dry and wet weather grip is very impressive. They were just over £800 for 4 fitted.

I had Kumhos LE Sports previously and as an everyday tyre they were more than up to the job. They were £600 fitted for 4.

Cannot speak of wear rates yet as only had the Michelin's on for 2-3k miles so far but initially wear rate looks decent. I am however more of a cruiser than a flat out everywhere kind of driver.

I'll stick with Michelin's if they stay around £200 a tyre. If prices rise where I'm struggling to get a set below £1k I'll go back to the Kumhos.

These are pretty cheap, about to order tyres today.... Only thing I can see on these are that the load rating is different ? Will this make much difference ? I didn't realise there would be different types of the same tyre ? Other than sizes....

Compared to my initial choice of...

It's set in the handbook as to what the minimum load rating is. Don't go lower than that. It's the same as having the wrong speed rating. Both can cause an MOT fail or render a car unroadworthy if stopped by plod. There's also whether low rated tyres will wear faster or be more prone to failure anyway. With the state of the roads these days I'd want a tyre that is tough as nails...

https://www.blackcircles.com/helpcentre ... oad-rating

According to this a 91 load rating means 615KG. Now I'm guessing that is per tyre ? So we X that by 4 which gives just under 2.5 Tonnes ? Am I thinking these will be fine ? Not checked the handbook or anything yet for load ratings, just going by what I am reading.

Also just realised I was looking at 235 for the second set ! Instead of 255 which pretty much null and voids everything. Don't mind me....

Nothing to see here... You may go about your business. :nodder:

It's gotta be 96 or you're risking big with your insurance.

Morning all. Just thought I would re spin this thread. Are we still saying the best all rounder tyre is the Michelin Pilot Super Sports ?

I will be after a couple of tyres in the not too distant future so thought I would check in and see if there have been any further suggestions

No, the PS4S are much better. Careful not to accidentally get the PS4.

Just stuck another set of PS4S on mine also. Yet to really lose traction, even now it's getting damp.
