Cheap valve covers on TPM!

Well when it came to checking the tyre pressures on each wheel I found that some cheap valve caps had been used and have now corroded onto the valves! Even a pair of pliers doesnt seem to do the job and started to mis-shape the valve.
Now i'm torn between getting new sensors for the wheels with the valves or seeing if i can just get the valves replaced.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Audi do specific ones that wont fuse with metal used on the valves.

Use a dremel to slice the old valve caps off. Grind a groove axially on the cap without going all the way through, then use a flat blade screwdriver to try and split the cap by inserting it in the groove and twisting. Careful not to go too deep when cutting.

The valves are £50 odd quid for four from audi
Its the alloy wheel cleaner that speeds up the corrosion, but using good quality plastic caps ( the ones with a seal inside ) is the way to go IMO
The new valves come with these..
For trouble free motoring just ditch the sensors and valves and get some bog standard rubber jokers!

liberal use of copper grease stops the rusting , once the caps are off !

Thanks for advice, gonna have a go at them this weekend.
Think vagcom said only one of my tpm sensors had a flat battery so tempted to leave them on for now.
Always been a fan of black plastic caps! They are less appealing to kids, functional and lightweight haha

Yeah, I learned the cap lesson the hard way once. Will now never put anything on but cheapo plastic ones.
