Nope - they are wired as DRLs with nice bright HID bulbs! They can be rewired to standar operation by a simple fuse swap in the piggyback fuse holder which I will admit to doing for each MOT to avoid them making silly observations!

Kind of worrying that the first photo you took is right outside a gearbox specialist!! Is that an omen??
