time for the beast to go..

I only planned to keep the beast a year, but its kept me entertained for 15 months now. I've thought long and hard, but have decided to sell. There's a few jobs to do on the house, and unfortunately will be downsizing to a Focus or something, (although I can't get excited about it).
Anyway enough of my ramblings - here's the basics - will get a proper ad and pics up later today...

RS6 plus 315/999
Light Silver Metallic
68k miles, FASH, 3 owners (I am 3rd)
Audi all-component warranty until 26.03.11
Black leather / alcantara interior, sunroof
Exclusive silver-piped RS6 floor mats
Load bay cover

Mint condition with all known issues sorted. More details later. looking for £21,250 ono.

Get a Mountune Focus ST. Loads of fun.

thanks Darren - hope you sell your low-miler..!!
shoppinit - looking at focus - either 1.6 petrol or 1.6tdci - it definitely won't be a tuned ST, i'm afraid.

just drove back from the gym, and had the chance to gun it. sounds so good at full chat - they really are addictive...hopefully it's mine for another 2-3 months..!!

I run a standard ST2 as a second car - loads of fun, and very good through the twisties, but still doesn't put a smile on your face like the Beast.

And you can't get a cement mixer in the back either....

I'm still less than convinced that I want to be without the beast.
It's fantastic to drive, and I'm not mentally ready for a real downgrade in cars.
Its even great to listen to - when my wife drove it off the drive last night the sound was awesome.
Fortunately or unfortunately she doesn't drive it very much (she's a bit scared of the beast..!!)

OK - simple plan!

Cost of preparing and advertising the Beast for sale has to be well north of £200. Save the cash and buy the wife a day on one of the advanced driving days with the Beast so she falls in love with it too - then you both get to enjoy it, she wants you to keep it (and even tweak it more), and she has a big smile on her face!

Only downside could be the fight over who gets to drive each trip!

Simples!!

sounds like a plan - good thinking, Dave.
i sometimes let a mate of mine drive it, and its a real hoot. it feels even quicker from the passenger side.
hmmm - i quite fancy an advanced driving day myself....

I offered that to my wife when I got the car back in May.

It cost me about 450 for the day (1 instructor/2cars/all day so lots of driving), and another 700 for new tyres afterwards!

well, its taken over 3 months of steady (and intermittent) advertising to find a buyer and car is now sold to an ex-rs6 owner enthusiast - he's not currently on the forum, bit I have pointed the way.

I'm truly sorry to leave the rs ownership.

thanks for all the help, buzz and entertainment.

I thought for a second you were going to say you'd sold it to DK!

Congratulations on the sale. Sad to lose you :(
