Optimistic outdoor temp reading

Have recently noticed that the outside temperature reading seems to be consistently a few degrees higher than reality. Not a huge issue I know, but wondered if this is a normal characteristic of the car, or if this is a simple thing to repair? Anyone else have experience of this issue?

Cheers,

Mart.

Same here. Seems to resolve itself once you're on the move. Doesn't bother me.

When stationary the car seems to pick up a bit of heat from the engine bay so reads a little higher but when on the move it seems quite
reliable.

The temp sensor does fail on these cars and its also affected by the rad where its situated. Get a new sensor and then mount it in one of the lower air ducts beside the fogs. That way you'll get a true reading.

What he said. It's just on the inside of the front bumper. Quite easy to move it to one side and improve the reading accuracy.

Not done mine though
