the paint on my Plus was really badly contaminated after 100k ... I was resigned to only a major detail getting it anywhere near perfect ...

but yesterday a took a visit to Halfrauds and purchased a meguirs smooth surface clay bar kit (http://camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid ... 0097&rs=gb)

iv never used a clay bar before but realised it was badly needed so thought I'd give it a go!

THIS STUFF IS FRIGGING AMAZING ... YOU SURE ITS NOT COME FROM MARS?

it was so effortless to use, and the results were simply amazing ... it took off so much dirt and contaminants and left the paint silky smooth !

3 hours later ...

1. thorough rinse with pressure washer
2. snow foam wash
3. clay all over
4. wax
5. interior clean / polish
6. leather clean and feed

I discovered clay bars 2 months back and have become a bit obsessed with smooth glass-like body work!

Dude....have you got led running lights on the front?? Is so where'd you get the kit?!

What snowfoam and lance are you using? I bought a Gilmour Foam Master II a few months back but its pretty wank for making a thick foam cover. You end up
Just washing the car with a bucket.

I'm going to use this as inspiration to buy another clay bar - used to use the Zymol Lehm Clay kit on the Porsches - will get it again as I've still got tubs of Zymol Carbon and Titanium in the beer fridge in my garage!
