Some of you might have seen this on rs6.com, but I think this is an awesome cheap mod which 'de-dates' the interior a lot. Esp good of you have piano or carbon interior as its the only chrome thing in the cockpit...:

Looks ok - where did you get it from and do they do one that matches the plastic trim surrounding the carbon in your picture? Is it easy to fit?

I suspect that match is as close as you'll get. He did it with a can of something!

to be fair , the button on the gear selector matches the selector plate ......, not a mod i'll be doing , i have oem carbon fibre inserts on my dash , all goes well together imho , wont scratch off either , unlike a paint job ?

I think that looks gash! Cheap too! The brushed ali looks great, if it was chrome I'd agree.

'gash'? Are you friends with Kano and dizzy rascal???

OK even brushed alu look s a bit too chinsey for me. Plus I defy anyone to tell me theirs isnt a little scratched.

If anyone is interested in doing this mod without spoiling their original chrome surround: I have purchased a brand new chrome surround for my car, so I will have my current surround (which is obviously slightly scratched) available within one or two weeks time for someone who is interested. Please send me a pm with your offer.

Danny

Looks crappy, IMHO. If I wanted a plasticky interior I'd have bought a Subaru!

But it's so similar to the normal dash material...?

Sorry, but IMHO that looks terrible. Way too much 'texture' going on there and nothing like the plastic trim elsewhere.

it would probably look better in a carbon wrap ;)
