What are we putting at each corner these days?

you have one of two choices

Michelin PS2's or Michelin PS3's

Quite simple really

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assyms! Got them on my 19's and 20's. Superb grip and the quietest tyre I've had.

What's wrong with Avon ZZR's? I run them and they seem ok.

Got to say these are impressive. Had Contisport contact3 before and they ride with a lot of road noise and a very stiff uncomfortable feel.

F1s are smooth, quiet, and pretty good all rounders I feel.

I think it really depends on what set up you have. I run Vreds without any issue whatsoever (other than the hard ride). But i know a couple of guys here had big problems with them. It wasnt down to the tyres, instead i think we came to the conlusion that they didnt work well with the 'H&R with ARB's' combo. Ive got Bilstein PSS9's (not that its different form having H&R's) fitted and all is very well indeed. I think the issue was the ARB's. The Vred tyre is very hard indeed and i think needs the car to roll a little in order to make use of its full ability. ARB's reduce body roll and therefore cannot give the tyre what it needs.

As you can see above, F1's, PS2's, PS3's are all highly recommended, as are the standard PZero fitment. Which one you decide to fit depends how much you want to spend and what you do with the car.

Planning on fitting a set of new Michelin PS3's on my 6.

Had a set of (well used) Continental Contisport on when I bought it so only had experience of driving the 6 with these. PS3's sound like a good choice from the searches I've done on here. Also found somewhere who can order and fit them for £950 which is a bit cheaper than most places.

Basically Eddie has hit the nail on the head:
F1's for overall performance
Vred's very good, and low cost
PS2/3 - probably the best wear/grip combo but v pricey

PS - I'm running the Vred's (275 x 30) and loving them!

Don't forget the bridgestones, I know a couple of is who run them. I'm really happy with them.

Who has put PS3 on their 6? THe only person I know who tried had rubbing issues on the knobbly bit.

I need 2 new tyres for my car and have been quoted £247 each (fitted & balanced) for Continental Sport Contact 3 in 255/30R20 fitment

is that a good price for 20s? or should i keep shopping around as the only other places online are delivered only.Should add that my good tyres are also contis so i would like to keep everything the same

Trouble getting 20's is none are above 92 load rated. Let me know if you find any....

The tyre cmpany has since phoned me back and told me that the sport contact 3 are discontinued and can only get the SP5 R01 Audi fitment ones but better still they can do them at £237 fitted each so being Audi fitment i would assume that they will be absolutely fine

R01s should always be fitted if using Conti's, don't let anyone tell you any different, otherwise you'll shred the inside wall on the infamous "knobbly bit" (technical term). There are many post on here but you've probably already found them.
I've run Vreds in the past and currently run F1s.
The Vreds were amazing last winter in heavy water and seemed to cope with all the snow (I'm based in the south) but in the dry or damp they were scratching for grip.
The F1s have way more grip in the dry and damp and have coped very well with the wet so far. They are also a lot quieter with a softer ride compared to the Vreds.

That is the exact reason i need to replace 2 of mine.I have about 5mm across the whole of the tyre but the inside wall is shredded down to the cord

I am hoping the R01s clear the knobbly bit or i am taking an angle grider to it
