any ideas on stereo problem?

noticed today that when i turn volume to full on my rns-e it on really goes to just over half way then doesnt get any louder if you turn it up past that point?
is there some sort of volume lock on it and can it be removed?

How are you quantifying "half" and full...
Mine has no volume indications on the screen or volume knob... except it goes to 11, 'natch.

Was the engine running? I know several cars restrict volume when running on battery to conserve power.

is there a volume limiter in any of the settings sub menus ?
if you cant live with it , you will have to upgrader to rns-e , its worlds better
