Bilstein PSS9 fitting time/cost?

I'm pleased to say that I just received a set of PSS9 coilovers for my car today. Now have to get them fitted...

Does anyone know how long they take to fit and how much I can expect to pay for fitting? I phoned MRC and they quoted me 6 hours which I thought seemed a little steep?

I am based in Herts, can anyone recommend a place in the South East that will fit for a reasonable fee, whilst doing a good job?

Cheers,

Mart.

Mines and RS4 but took about 3-4 hrs and cost £200 to fit. Also spend £120 on various mounts, bearings and new bolts to do the job right. Alignment was £150.

6 hours is steep?
Not done them myself but if i ever do finally get an rs6 and have a blast myself i will be looking to put a day to one side.
Have you looked at the fitting guide in the 'sticky' section? This should help you appriciate the time scale

Cost me £550 through my local indy. Which included new top mounts all round (make sure you get them changed).

It's no more difficult than a standard A6. I know cos I fitted mine myself.

it took me 2 days to fit mine! I did have a load of seized bolts and sheared one of them which is what took the time. And I broke my finger trying to split a ball joint. That slowed me down a bit .

Jaysus Slimmy - unlucky!!! You're not exactly the poster child for DYI PPS9s.

Ceveman- 6 hours doesn't sound too bad now heh.
if you have a bit of go about you why not try it yourself. Get a friend to come and give you a lift and i suppose it could be done in a day if you start early. Could save around £300, just watch those fingers!

I know, I'm a qualified automotive technician aswell

I think my car just didn't want it done, it battled me and my friends (who did most of the work after I broke my finger!) at every opportunity!

*taps nose* Good one Slimmy, pretend to have a broken finger and get your mates to carry on while you delegate commands. Your secret is safe with us mate.

When you remove the DRC, doesn't the ECU throw an error code? Do you need to 'deactivate' the DRC in some way, or is simply draining the DRC fluid and swapping the shox enough?
