I'm back

Post by HYFR » Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:07 pm

woooooooohooo 8)

picked up the Plus tonight and drove it 150 miles back to Landan

oh the memories...they are just as beastly as I remember!

POWER !

Attracted a few porsches and even a Ferarri !

The car itself is amazing and a true credit to its only former keeper MartynC, it needs a clean, but so do I :D

It runs tip top and handles brilliantly with the coilovers

In fact, with both my previous RS 6's having run on Dynamic Ridiculous Crapcontrol this is my first experience with coilovers. It handles bucket better, much more flat in the corners with not much roll

However the ride is abit firmer, but I dont mind.

Planning to give him a proper valet on wkend and will get some proper pics up, in the meantime, here are some <beep> ones from my <beep> 2.0mp cameraphone

ps. huge thanks to MartynC for passing him onto me, and for the ease of doing business and I can assure that I will take great care of him

pps. His name is 'Skywalker'

Nice.

Great looking car - the rear ride height looks as low as mine was - I've raised it now.

If this is your first C5 Avant I'd be interested in the DK view on saloon v. Avant?

Looking again in pic 3 it really shows the difference in body size between the B6 and C5. Quote a big difference.

Back in the beast, and a 480ps one this time. I had one of these, so addictive.

Well that's really cool........mixed emotions of course but he had to go, tempus fugit etc...........Gender wise I always called the car IT but you know, that's wrong, he is masculin and, as a pilot, I like the name Skywalker, it fits.

Sounds patronising, but you deserve him Dave and he you.

Keep the Faith.

MartynC...............over and out. 8)
