loon vs avant tech

Post by DNA540i » Fri May 21, 2010 2:03 pm

Can anybody tell me the difference between the saloon and the avant. I'm after things like weight, rigidity, Drag coefficient......... etc

If anybody knows any of this, that would be grand.

Nice one golf. I was going to say "one is the size of USS Enterprise and just as fast, the other is the estate version".

To be honest, I'd read that the avant probably 'handles' better than the saloon due to more efficient weight distribution.
No matter where you go, there you are.

The wagon is a tad heavier and slower to 60 but only 1 - 2 tenths officially but in reality they are both as close as crack of a gnat's ass!

No normal buyer would notice any difference in driving dynamics. You'd have to be at a very high level of driving ability and environment to use it and identify any comparisons.

If you need it the size of the albert hall, get the avant; if you don't, buy the saloon.

Saloon looks better of course ;) and you don't get that cheap nasty ariel on the roof!

I have a saloon and the rounded boot/rear light is the worst angle and not good - it spoils the front and side angles. If there were any avants here I would have one as they look far better, even though I dont need the size..............
