vin number check tool

guys, anyone know where to check the vin number of a car?
for manuf. date, extras, etc?

Vin No is on the bottom right hand corner of the windscreen. Check it against the V5.

I believe that a lot of information is in the spare wheel well. I heard that's where they put the sticker with the paintcodes, etc.
