Ok my 02 RS6 just started going nuts, Im driving at 60,40,30 or what ever and when i gradually accelerate i get a sudden pull from the front, almost as if it forgot it has front wheels. I went to pull out of a round a bout and when i pressed the throttle nothing happened for a few seconds apart from the revs going up and suddenly it went into gear and i shot accross the road.
Any idea whats the problem and rough cost if u know?

Sounds like a gearbox issue - is it gradually getting worse or intermittant?

Worse id say, and this has all happened over last 2 hours. Worsed was just before i parked up. Thought i was intermittant but right at the end it did the neutral and nothing but revs

After revs did it jerk violently and then engage a gear?
What happens in tip mode?
Doesn't sound good mate - any warranty on the car? If not, have a word with the specialists to see what the options are - MRC, Unit20 etc.
Recon box or a 2nd hand box would be preferred - new box from audi is c.£5k IIRC

Ok i press the throttle and the car accelerates then i get a sudden shock from the front wheels as if it suddenly get power while the rear remains normal. I resorted to using tip mode and it seemed fine.

You definitely need to take it to a specialist - they can check for error codes, and do a gearbox flush and oil change - if nothing else to determine how good/bad the state of the oil is - but it could improve things (as it has for my gearbox)

Sounds like mine did before the gearbox went south. They tried a flush and it made no difference so ended up with a new box. I hope you have a warranty Pherral. It's unlikely to be exactly the same problem but
if it is you won't be able to go anywhere soon.
