Don't see many with the 18" wheels. I quite like them. Shame that the alu wing mirrors are missing. They do look nice in Daytona :)

Check the guarantee on the DRC fit. I don't trust DRC and probably never will.

As above but also find out why the leather has been re-done (may explain the absence of any piping) and why the mirrors are colour coded.

I suspect they won't know if they've picked it up from auction or as a part-ex.

Also check when Cambelt is due (every 40k so check it wasn't done at 25k!)

Full Audi History?

Check brakes all round and an independant inspection wouldn't be a bad idea if you like it.

I don't have any piping on my leather - as far as I know that was an option?!

I would agree a little expensive for a car >60,000 mi but if was immaculate might be worth it?

if the drc has been replaced by audi would that not mean that its covered if it goes pop again by them? i thought that the wheels looked different are the normal ones 19's? as with the piping & mirrors that might point to the fact that it might be a poverty spec car ie not alot of options on it) if that was the case its definately to toppy.....

The mirrors were standard on all RS6. Probably the previous owner got fed up of having them half inched.

I think the piping was a no cost option. I quite like it, but it's hardly essential.

The 19's were no cost options, I believe. Or vice versa.

I would suggest that there are other, more important issues to check when buying a RS6 other than leather piping and the colour of mirrors !!!!

Looks like a nice motor. Mine was a similar cost, but had 19" Wheels, piping and Ally mirrors. Mine had, had an extra service (FASH), belts done and wheel refurb. New anchors. And I had an RAC inspection.... They missed my leaking AT sump so had to pay for it to be replaced.

Will say check the TPMS is on and working, I missed it when buying mine and it's not a particulary cheap fix if you want to use it.

My DRC packed up shortly after getting it, the garage offered to have it fixed, but I opted for the PSS9's. best choice (I think)

I'm always happy to show it off :-) Not perfect but getting there.....

wasn`t the mirrors a no cost option to have in body colour?

For me that's well over priced, I'd say something about £1.5k. Having recently bought one of these. If you go look at the downloads section there is an options list, it should help you along, these cars came with alot as standard. For me I'd want to change to the 19" wheel and the alu mirrors as per Steve's car, just coz it looks the part. My understanding of the Audi repair warranty is that it only overs the work they carry out, so if they replace just one unit then that's all they cover, so you need to have a copy of the invoice from Audi to know what's now covered. One I looked at stated that the DRC has been replaced when in fact only two units were.

Mirrors (point covered), leather (point covered). What about the brakes? No decals and they look like they have been repainted! Is there a chance this is a fire damaged rebuild?

18" rims cheaper to replace than Burnt 19's. Mirrors cheaper than Alu. Leather needed doing. Brakes burnt but salvagable. Just my opinion! It wouldnt be registered if it was only minor damage.

Good thinking. Or stolen / recovered.

Or on the other hand it could just be that it had a cheapskate 1st buyer. But i'd be suspicious.

Given the bits spotted it perhaps doesn't deserve the premium price tag?!
