First, you see one and think... FECK ME that sounds nice.
Second, you get over taken by one and it leaves you thinking <beep> My car has stopped.
Third, you enter RS6 on the tinternet web searchything, and discover that they cost 27pence.
Fourth, you find RS246, audi SRS and tyresmoke and join.
Fifth, you encounter the natives, most are helpful, but one is a complete <beep>.
sixth, everyone tells you to do your research.
seventh, you don't but keep asking lots of questions.
eighth, everyone tells you that these cars are not for the faint hearted, and will cost you a small fortune.
ninth, you ignore us, buy one and tell everyone on Rs246 and SRS how feckin fast it is (we know- we have one)
tenth, its first service time, you <beep> yer pants and sell it for 26 pence.
elevnth, our cars are now worth 25 pence. Thanks.

Actually, thats quite a good description of 1 year of RS6 ownership for some.

There's a 81k Daytona Avant in Oxford going for a negotiable £13.5k to prove the point. I'd be expecting £17k+ for mine and it has higher mileage. I was tempted to phone the seller and tell him to raise his price because its just getting silly now. We are being ripped and we cant do anything about it...............

Unless, if WE were to buy up all the RS6's that appear in the classifieds then we could manage the resale values ourselves. Who's got a spare couple of £million i could borrow?

LOL!!!

You are so right. There are very few who will keep them no matter what. I'm fairly new to the game, and it's not for the faint hearted, I would not get rid of mine, unless I was going to lose the house.....

Ah, ha.... I could put a matteress in the back and then live in it

My wife calls is the money pit..... :D

absolutely brilliant Mooch

I often daydream about what I'd do when I win the lotto, but I have to say buying every available RS 6 on the used market never crossed my mind....

but what a genius idea...

then any potential buyer would need to pass a stringent test, which I would get Mooch to design and decide !

You'd be Fooked in that case David Coolass

Only joshin matey, It was eddies idea, i am already working out the financial implications, but do you know, I reckon it COULD work.......

First test is, you have to be able to stick a lighted candle up yer bum and be able to blow it out by stickin yer head between yer legs and whistling up yer kalamazoo.
Only applies to potential female owners.

Yes, controlling the entire UK stock of C5 RS6s seems a plan.

As someone said we could then vet the buyers and only sell to approved customers!

Do you remember the stories about the guy who owns Bristol cars refusing to sell one to James May because he is "associated with that dreadful Clarkson git"?

That being said, if I won the lottery, I can think of no better way of turning £10m into £1m than by going into the motor trade!

I never was faint hearted.Owned mine for 15 months and spent a fortune but worth every penny! Nothing,NOTHING else will provide such a big grin for so many miles for the price. Will definitely buy another one, lottery win or no.
The only car I ever owned(and I have had dozens) that could truly surprise me,even after miles and months of driving. If you haven't owned one you cannot appreciate just what a 2 ton euro barge can be capable of.Faster 0-60 time than the new M5 I notice.Laugh or what??
