Well seeing as today has been the first really dry day for about a month its only right that we get out and clean the old girls before they get a strop on and seek revenge by breaking down.


Washed with Turtle shampoo and conditioner, towel dried (great on the windscreens) and then waxed.











Can't believe how good Daytona looks on this car. Still fresh and up to date.





Cleaned the interior. Natural leather needs alot of care, it goes a funny light colour if it gets too dried out.



Seats sucked more cream than a Bangkok lady-boy.





Still really impressed with the Pioneer install.



Still going strong at 88k. Had a massive service recently inc gearbox so there is plenty more in her yet.



Off down to TidyVAG (local group meet) this avo so might get some more pics up later.

She looks like shes done 28k not 88k, and best she drives like it too

Just goes to show the build quality on these things

I seriously think Audi went way past the mark on this car, its amazing

Agree looks truly amazing esp for a car of that average mileage, and you right, Daytona is a good colour, the best thing about this paint, is that the surroundings can effect the way it looks, esp if its clear day.

it never ceases to amaze me how many people still wash their own cars when you can get it done for about £3.50 on every street corner these days!

I've seen the damage some of those cheap carwash companies can do. I'd go mental if my car got scratched by anyone

yeah those £3.50 jobbies are ok on your run arounds but not the Beast's !

I get huge pleasure out of washing my car. If i do it myself then i know it gets done properly.

But I wash mine weekly and hers monthly...

Car looks great, so much so I just had to go out and wash mine (Daytona too) in the dark!

Missus thinks I'm nuts but at least I've not had to watch the X-factor final!!

Whats that think attached to the top of your windscreen on the drivers side, is it something to do with your Roadangel?

Yeah its an amplified gps reciever (from the states). Made by Glisons. Much quicker at picking up GPS signals than standard aerials. I have an athermic windscreen on the car so i have to have seperate external aerial as it wont pick anything up inside. It also has a splitter so that it can recieve for both the sat nav and the road angel. Good piece of kit.

Was that windscreen a factory option or did you have it fitted?
How do you know if you have one, never used my Garmin in the car as nav's built in.

It was fitted when they changed the screen in march. Factory fit was just regular glass.
