Camskill still have the Vred's at £140 - see http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... b758s342p0
Benefit of wider tyre is better kerb protection - downside of 30 vs 35 profile is very slightly harder ride - but I now run mine at 38psi rather than 40 and they are fine. Performance wet or dry is exemplary.

I will be sticking to the Vreds too, great value at £140.

I am very pleased with my Michelin PS2 - very grippy. But I've got nothing to compare them to;

Yokohama, Kumho?bigjocky wrote:i can't remember as its in dock getting a little body work done, its a fancy foriegn name beggining with a K or a Y??????
RE: Re: RE: tyres for rs6
must be Kumho, but i actually don't have a problem with these, i think they were cheap at the time! just thought i would ask around!
RE: Re: RE: tyres for rs6
No they are defo, Yokohama!!
Yokos didn't exactly get a raving review in the 'Evo' tyre group test - but obviously they make more than one tyre.
Many on here are running the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyre with very good results, myself included. Also, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric is also a very good tyre and again used by people on here with good reviews. However the Vredestein wins in the value stakes since it gives very good performance for the money compared to other tyres.

Vredestein are very good tyres at an excellent price. I've done 7k miles on mine so far with no problems, they are wearing evenly and gripping well.
