Tamworth Audi - bunch of *%£%$£^%^%

Post by HYFR » Sun Oct 25, 2009 12:56 pm

just thought Id share my experience, and if anyone has had a good experience then perhaps mine was a one off

Picked the car up today after it was recovered there after alternator failure

Started up the car....BEEEEEP! petrol light on - not so suprising as when I gave it in it had a range of 90 miles, so I imagined it might be on 40 or the like

but no, range, 0 miles, petrol gauge past the last red mark

thats just taking the p*ss.

As the car was in a secure car park, the guy had to let me out, as I went past I wound down the window and said "have you seen my fuel gauge?", his face said it all, i just said "great customer service, wheres the nearest petrol station..." he claims he will inform the service manager, my arse

Also, for them to bring a range down from 90 to 0 when they only replaced an alternator they must have had a pretty exciting road test eh!

Gripe number 2:

Bearing in mind they have never seen me before (as it was recovered there), you might have thought they would have asked for some kind of ID before allowing me to drive off in an RS 6 ! but no, I just said im here to pick up an RS 6, the woman went and got an envelope with the keys and paperwork and just before she handed it to me, she said, "whats the name"

great security

note to all, from now on, dont post where or when your car is going in for service if this is how Audi work

Gripe number 3:

On their ridiculous health check they say they give every car say see nowadays (although they really only check the tyre depth) they said the engine oil was low

Well, i know this may be abit 'out there' but howabout they bloody top it up !! :bash:

David, as we have all said before better to Grizz or MRC it. It just seems with non Audi warranty the claims seem to go through quicker via a main dealer.

DK, I'm gobsmacked you still let Audi main dealers work on your pride-and-joy despite your previous, shall we say, encounters with them.

I will only be using MRC from now on as their service recently was superb and my car has run better and faster since.

Stop torturing yourself and let someone else carry out any work. I think you've more than proven to everyone just how disgraceful Audi's service is. You can stop the experiment now and go see Grizz/MRC from now on.

i wish i could! But £1,732 worth of Audi Warranty says i cant!
I will 100% use MRC or Unit 20 for ANYTHING non warranty related, i.e. Brakes, 5k oil change, health check etc

To be fair, there has been a few times that I've parked my car up for the night with it saying i've got 80 odd miles left in the tank and when i start it up in the morning there's nothing. No, i haven't got a leak.

I wish I could say I was surprised. Seems like all stealers are the same with a few notable exceptions. Not just Audi, either.

Hey chaps, we have to give a kiss occasionally as well as all the no doubt well deserved kicks!

I have always received good service from the Audi Centre here in Perth, Western Australia.

maybe it has something to do with the fact that there are only 4 RS'6 in Perth and I believe they are all serviced by the Audi Centre. Must be the novelty value of the RS6 or recognition of what a legend car it is as the techs cant wait to get their hands on them.

Has to be a change for them from the A3's A4's etc. they normally deal with.

They also get to work on a couple of R8's as well.

Of course, the dealer pricing for service and parts matches the overheads, but I dont mind paying a little over the odds if I get good service.

I would love to have a Grizz in Perth, although there would not be enough work for him, I fear.

regards,
john

I just don't trust them with anything. Left my wife's Q7 in for a minor service 400 euro later got it back checked it with my VagCom lead and found that it had a dead glow plug. The date stamp for the fault was 3 days before I left it in to them???? So I won't be going near them with my RS.

yeah same here, but when I had 90 range on giving it to them, the gauge was just above red....it was dead zero empty when I got in it

Im not expecting them to give it back to me with what I gave it with, but its just the principal that they will happily give a car back with no petrol in whatsoever when it was given to them with petrol

they could of had the decency to put a fiver or tenner
