Urgent Petition against proposed national speed limit change

The Government are considering reducing the national speed limit (for single carriageway roads) from 60mph to 50mph. If you don't agree with this (as I don't) you can sign a petition against it.
See: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/noNSLreduction/
The deadline is 9 September 2009 and at the moment it only has 38,321 signatures, quite possibly because few people know the petition is there. If you don't agree with the reduction then sign and pass this onto your friends and colleagues.
It only takes a minutes but is done in 2 parts, you give your name, address and e-mail address, then you are immediately sent an email inside which there is a link to click on to confirm it really is you signing.
You must live in the UK to sign, however, if you don't live in the UK but have friends that do please send to them.
