Disconnect airbag
Disconnect airbag
How can I turn the passenger airbag off in my 2004 RS6? Yes, I know it's not a great idea but I need to carry a baby in the front seat for a few weeks.. Audi don't recommend it and won't tell you how to do it- yet the sell cars with systems that can be turned off!

RE: Disconnect airbag
No switch? I did this recently on a MK4 golf with vag-com, seems fine.. I will look out the details post them up. Worth a try

RE: Disconnect airbag
Is there not a key operated switch in the glove box??
Thought it was std on the RS4, maybe it was an option on the RS6??

Airbag
There is no key on the RS6 as airbag disconnection was optional. My dealer tells me there is a retrorfit solution for £500 inc labour but they wont fidle with the wiring which is often sugegsted as a way round it.
It seeems to me that the omission of an airbag switch on what is essentially a high performance family car is a grave error on Audi's part. I will add to to my growing list of problems
