Extended Warranty

Post by spgprivate » Wed Jul 01, 2009 12:58 pm

Hi,

Just about to extend my warranty. Anybody in UK heard of warrantywise (www.warrantywise.co.uk) ?

Audi quotes £1600 for 1 year cover ?

Warranty wise quoted £1700 for 2 years ?

I like knowing audi are on the hook and I dont have to pay out and claim back ! However its a big difference !

Any views ?

Si

Another vote for Audi - no questions, no hassle - total peace of mind.

No comparison to anything out there!

I've taken a Warranty Direct policy in November 08. The car has needed some minor things doing since. For example the suspension arms & bushes need replacing. I was happy to think that the warranty would take care of it as the cost was £300+. However, because the car will still get through an MOT, they've rejected the claim. I haven't the time or the inclination to fight at every turn and just won't renew.

Needless to say, if I had the option, I'd go with the Audi warranty all day long.

Hi

Had Warranty Wise with the car in the first year through dealer, they paid out £800.00 out on engine out and replace cracked manifold, but i had to pitch in with £400 to finish the bill. Had the dealer fit my case and rep for the company who sells the policy to the garages if they had not it would have been declined.
Would I go back to them ? probably not

Extended warranty

Si

Apologies for the copy and paste but just responded to another posting re warranties but just just to say don't go down the WarrantyWise route as it's not worth the paper it's printed on. I tried to claim last month for an InterCooler days after renewing an existing policy with them and their "no quibble" warranty is pathetic.
