Why would you do a thing like that?
Not a dig, just curious

When you take the fog lights + plastic around it the intake temperature drops down 10-15 degrees Celsius.
I came to this after analysis of VAG-COM and the intake temperatures together with engine ignition <beep>. The ECU is not moving back the ignition that much now. The tests where conducted in several runs 0-200km/h or 60-160km/h.

So basically more performance or throttle response. Intersting! May do this myself.
Cheers

the air that gets to the cylinders has certain temperature, the lower the temperature the better engine runs giving more power
the air on standard RS6 + chip is 40 up to 65 degrees Celsius
so taking out the fog lights + the plastic lest more air to the intercoolers thus cooling them down more
Take a look at Sportec RS600 car and the parts that come with Sportec Intercoolers
The easiest thing is to test that with VAG-COM and wath the intake temps.
