How did you get to your RS6?

Post by ecain63 » Sat May 23, 2009 12:58 pm

Everyone comes from a different background. Some rich, some poor, some just plain normal. But what path did you take to get to your RS6?

I'll start it off:

2002 - 97' P Reg Kingfisher Blue Rover 100 (metro) Knightsbridge - Pile of crap! Killed 2002 - Thank god.

2002 - 85' C Reg Blue Peugeot 205 1.6 GTi (later to become White, caged, T16 Replica with mi16 and wide arch). Stripped and sold 2003

2003 - 88' F Reg White Peugeot 205 1.5 Diesel (later to become Wite / Blue, caged Track Beast 230bhp , 650kg, GTI-6 engined monster). Sold July 2006 and written off by new owner after only 4 laps of Knockhill (thats £1000 per lap).

2004 Khaki Green 97' 125'000 mile Mondeo 1.8. Bought for £60. Driven for 1 year and sold 2006 for £250.

2005 53 plate L200 4 life. Awesome runner and amazing towing machine. Sold 2006

2006 Black Mitsi Shogun Warrior 54 plate. Chipped by Ralliart but still slow as hell. Sold 2006

2006 53 plate C5 RS6. Amazing in every way (other than the wallet bashing it gives).

Im sure there are some of you out there who can black-cat my 97 metro  Go on, i dare ya!

I too started with a Metro!!!

1998 - 2000 I had a G-Reg 1989 Metro Clubman 1.0 - it got stolen by some toe rag in the east end of London.

2000 - 2004 Frickin' tube pass!! and the occasional use of a Mini Cooper 1.3i

2004 - 2007 A V-Reg 2000 Mondeo ST200 - a great car, never missed a beat but with FWD was limited.

2007 on 2003 C5 RS6 with no DRC and a CCode remap! and no plans to change it

It seems I like to add a pair of cylinders with each change

lol yeah the cavalier was a minor hiccup, but at 17 and just pasted my test, a 2 litre injection was 2200 to insure so that sorta curtailed the market i could choose from. And to be fair, it wasnt tooooo bad, had enuff poke for a 17 year old at any rate lol. And it was comfortable (ish) lol

Oh and i lied, the granny cosworth was an L reg lol
