Just wondering if anyone was going to lemans next month or have been before??
Its the first time for me, but i have been told its great.

I've been a good few times, 4 I think. It is *really* great. Best to go with someone who's been before and knows their way around, knows where the things go on and when. There's a bit of a parade of cars that goes on on the Saturday in the nearby town for example, but I can't remember where and when! And then there's all the racing around that people do n the Friday night before the race, on the roundabout near the Houx Annexe campsite. My advice would be to go to www.beermountain.com and read everything there. Loads of advice and forums.

Yes the guys Im going with go every year. We have sorted our camping etc.
Driving straight down in one go, should be a great weekend.
What campsite were you on? I know some are better than others.
Been on beermountain it looks mad!

Would love to go, but our hol to france in the '6 is 22 June - 3 July, so sadly missing it. Mind you am hoping to get top Goodwood on the way home!

Am going - 2nd time.
Last year was great, apart from the rain during the Saturday night/Sunday morning. Lots of offs on the track though - great !

Am staying at the Beasejour campsite...

Would be good to meet a few forum members at the same time when we are all there!

Tips: prepare for weather that is either very hot or very wet, leave valuables in the car, prepare your body clock so that you don't want a crap at about breakfast time unless you like queuing first, do the pitlane walk Friday PM, Mulsanne corner Saturday night, unfortunately the fair is a pale shadow of its former self, if eating out in town, Saturday is much quieter than Friday, if you are leaving straight after the race get your car near the campsite exit, if not, join the masses on the start finish straight. I'm sure other regulars will have plenty to add.

Took my RS6 in 2007 dolled up in pistonheads stickers, the boys at the Houx Annexe roundabout wanted wheel spinning, ahem I said, not so easy.

Am also going this year but in the TVR Cerbera as sadly the RS has moved on, staying with Team Langoustine at Tertre Rouge and travelling down Thursday, if I see you then you'll see me!!!

Just beware of speeding, head the warnings and take lots of cash if you do cross over the line, as its best to pay rather than have your RS taken away!!!!!

Just got back in the early hours this morning, Had a great time saw some fantastic cars, spot on weather, great campsite!! def going next year!!
The beast just ate the miles no probs...clock was reading 1440miles in total!!
Only saw one other RS6 there, I think he is on this forum "Ringa"? in daytona grey. Did see a red B7 RS4 on my campsite which was stickered up.
Highly recommend it if anyone was thinking of going. We had some fun on the way back with various fast cars!

Brilliant weekend. Fantastic racing too.
Saw to RS6's. A black one en route, and an Avus one parked up in Beasejour. Both Avants. Not many RS4's (B7) and no B5 RS4's this year.

I was camped next to a Diablo in white, a VXR220, a 4200GT Maser and a Murcialago; and opposite a 997 C2S, a 997 Turbo, a 360 Spider and a 599.

Me in my old 110 Defender and my mates Saab 93 Estate, looked somewhat out of place to say the least.

Can't count the number of lambo's this year, including the new VT jobby. Nice...

Got to go back next year, absolutely awesome. Took feckin' hours getting out of the campsite on the Sunday though. Oh and lost my wallet at one of the toll booths on the way back.

We didnt leave until Monday, so no probs.....Camsite was total carnage!! My mate was in a westfield doing donuts on the Suday night and we had a ride out in a motorised setee!!! Got stacks of wicked cars on my camera...
