Just collected car from Nationwide crash repair center, Sheffield. It's been in to have wheel alignment checked and adjusted.
New track rod end fitted for mot.
Just wanted to let you know what a great service the've just provided, print out before and after, great communication, manager explained figures, adjustments etc. dropped car in the morning and collected 1pm.
£40 plus vat. Steering wheel back dead center, handles sweeter than it's done for ages. One very happy customer.
On a seperate issue the outside temp seems to be reading high for the past few days, anyone had this before? anyone know where the sensor is placed? could it be picking up heat from radiator etc? Ideas?
Wheel Alignment
RE: Wheel Alignment
Interesting. What were the eventual settings (broadly speaking) for camber and toe-in/out ? Mine is wearing the inside edge of one front and I want to try to get things adjusted correctly and forwarned and for-armed etc etc.
Re: Outside Temp - Mine went badly wrong a while back and Audi changed it under warranty. It was reading high when stationary and reached 23C when ambient was about 7C. After the swap it still reads high when stopped, but not so badly out. Personally I think it still reads high-ish most of the time, but without obvious detriment.

Hello R1NGA,
Figures are as follows,
Front, total toe +0deg 19 min, camber -1deg 38min
Rear, total toe +0deg 15 min, camber -1deg 0min
Hope this helps you,
By the way, found that temp sensor is easily replaced, it's in front bumper bottom of grill, 2 pin plug around £5 from dealer.
Seems to be behaving this morning!
