FITTING FRONT BRAKE PADS!!!

im still trying to remove the 2 bars on the back of the front brake callipers with no joy and dont wont to damange them any more but i did try to fit the new pads with the bars still in and it seemed to fit ok

You might end up having to drill them out . New fitting kits are £15 per caliper from audi.

ahh yeh i did think i might have to do that but has any one ever fitted the pads with them still in i was thinking of buying brand new callipers not sure how much they are i think there about £1000 well i might phone the audi scemers to find out

I managed to change the pads without removing these bars, I just dropped the caliper off and the and the pads came out with a little persuation. All you need is a 10mm hex bolt. According to Audi, the bolts don't have stretch type threads, but I did change them just to make sure.
