Thoughts on insurance write off likelihood

Post by HYFR » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:38 pm

just had a random thought on the way home, not tempting fate but . . .

as RS 6 prices have fallen through the floor over the last year; in the event of a serious'ish accident, do you guys think that its more likely an RS will be deemed beyond economic repair by insurance

Im guessing this beast would cost an arm and a leg to get repaired; obviously it depends what happened, but im just thinking in general.

reason I thought of it was I was thinking about my Return to Invoice insurance, and how this may be worth a bit more to me if my thoughts on the above are correct in the unfortunate event of a <beep> driving in to me [im too good a driver to cause an accident ! ] - - - touch wood

:P

Amazingly I was discussing this just the other day my car is currently worth 32k if written off as I have the return to invoice insurance.

Unless of course there is a get out clause for the insurers!

regards
