DRC action against audi, please contribute!
Hi all, as some of you may be aware i am in the middle of taking audi to task over the DRC system. I have looked on the RS4 forum and they have very helpfully compiled a list of users/faults so far with the new RS4 which is fitted with DRC aswell (see thread: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... &start=210 )
Can we please put together a list in this format for all RS6 owners on this forum so i can put the information too Audi UK and try to get something done regarding this <beep> system.
I dont need to know any personal information, just the same as it is laid out in the other forum.
Many thanks in advance
Stuart

RE: DRC action against audi, please contribute!
Hi
I have a 2004 RS6 Avant, I am new to this site so unfamiliar with formats and DRC issues
I bought my car early in 2006, thankfully I was encouraged to buy what I now know to be a good warranty.
Will not give too much detail on line as I do not know who reads this!
February 2008 mileage approx 42,000 called at Audi dealer and reported noises for rear nearside, had had this checked out several months and about 4000 miles earlier by another Audi dealer who said nothing amiss. Now informed suspension failure with additional damage now caused to various hoses, car was classed as too dangerous to drive. Full cost of repair met by non Audi warranty although I understood there was a goodwill gesture from Audi. Have not been provided with any detailed paperwork
February 2009 mileage approx 44,000 called at Audi dealer and reported noises for rear nearside, advised similar issue as before although this time dealer stated damage most likely done by road debris! Again full cost of repair met by non Audi warranty. Have not been provided with any detailed paperwork
Now do very little mileage, have no intention of getting rid of my car, kept my previous wide bodied 6 years and my S2 (RS2 engine) 14 years

Stu, there was another thread similar to this but never really got going. Maybe get the info from that thread and merge it with this one?

thanx mo, what i will do is when the list is fairly large (which it will be lol) i will go thro the other thread and filter out all the 1's not added to this list and manually enter them myself so it will be a simple copy/paste job in an email to the MD of audi uk.
as i said b4, the more ppl we can get to list thier problems the better, i will be contacting Audi Uk on monday anyway as i have yet to recieve any further corresponace from them as of yet.
I will keep you all posted when i have more news.

Hi guys and girls, new here as just doing the research on what the options are now as out of warranty. (H&Rs sound a better bet than a punt on whether new DRC will last more than 5 mins..).
Sorry if it's covered elsewhere (I have searched!) but do we know if Audi UK have a response to the fact our US friends have been offered a free fix?
Cheers
