Post by ataRS6 » Mon Jan 26, 2009 7:50 pm

I want to have my rs6 remapped but don't know who is the best person for the job,
I have heard all sorts of stories in regards to reliability an running into gearbox problems.
Iv just had a non res miltek fitted which sounds awsome and want to take the next step now
Any suggestions would b much appreciated

Have an MRC remap and it is excellent. Better fuel economy and performance by around 10%++. Am able to drive at 30 in fifth and gear changes seem quicker. BHP was circa 490 and torque was massively improved apparently may fuel air ratio was excellent. Have met several whom also have it and everyone very happy. They are based in Banbury and have a nice collection of awards for remaps.

Good luck

I had an MRC remap in my old B5 S4 and it was excellent. Not for the faint hearted though as they have no rolling road so all testing is done on the road. Well worth it and if Minhea does it he's a genius.

Good luck.

I am running a Custom code stage one map, with a catless exhaust and a milltek non res, last dyno'd up at 510hp and 560ftlbs as with all my bits, supplied by Grizz! Its quick........
MRC reputation goes before them and QST are the MTM agents, but for what QST charge you can get more bang for your buck from Grizz or MRC. Imho of course!
It's all Bollox.

All my Audi's have had MRC tuning to some degree. I would not go past them and they are close to me.

I would advise to call a few of the recommended guys and get a feel for them, trawl the forums too, B5/B6/B7/C5/C6/Other S/RS forums and you'll get a feel for what people like etc and what you get for the price.

REVO is very good also and is switchable so if you want to turn the map on and off (or have it so you can switch between different fuels) or have the added security of disabling the car then you can.
£899+VAT for the REVO upgrade, decat price sounds high though!!!
Got REVO on my RS6 and it's great but then I would say that!!!
